Those of you who follow me over here know that I was gifted the most fabulous thing in the world the other day…a snuggie!
I love this new blanket. I’m actually wearing it right now as I type this post. Nice and toasty warm with the computer on my lap and not a bit of me cold.
Just out of curiosity, and because I didn’t know which word I would define today, okay, and out of sheer boredom (and yes I know this is a major run-on sentence, leave me alone) I went to Urban Dictionary and typed in the word snuggie.
I wasn’t surprised when the definition came up as
snuggie a blanket with sleeves
What I was totally surprised at was further down the page, it is defined as
snuggie A condition experienced when your underwear rides up the crack of you ass. Giving someone a snuggie by pulling on the waistband of their underwear is a favorite schoolyard prank of latent homosexuals posing as bullies OR a wedgie; term commonly used in the late 1970's and early 1980's
WHAT? Have you ever heard of it called a snuggie? I have only EVER heard it called a wedgie. Am I living under a rock or something? Someone, please tell me my blanket is not tainted by the acts of a schoolyard bully. Please? Anyone?

Never heard it called a snuggie, just a wedgie. Must be a family thing, not really a regional one.

NEVER heard that one before! Wedgies and atomic wedgies are the only names I've ever heard. Snuggie is too nice of a word to describe that!
